| Laurie Lee Dovey has received more than 40 journalism awards for her work as a writer. During the past 15 years, she has had over 1,400 magazine articles published in a wide range of outdoor recreation magazines from Outdoor Life and Golf Illustrated to Women in the Outdoors, America's 1st Freedom, Departures Magazine, Golf Course Living and numerous other magazines. Dovey develops travel editorial as part of her full-time traveling lifestyle. In addition to her freelance magazine work, Dovey has served as an editor and columnist for a number of magazines. She has also contributed to the scripting of the American Outdoorsman television show on TNN, scripted videos, and appeared as on-camera talent in numerous videos.
Dovey has established personal relationships with the top executives of outdoor and golf estate companies and all relative industry organization executives. Dovey is currently the chairman of the board of the 2,300-member Outdoor Writers Association of America and is a member of the International Network of Golf Advisory Board. She is considered one of the top outdoor writers in the nation, is heralded as one of the most knowledgeable journalists in the industry, is a highly skilled public speaker and seminar presenter, and has an extensive marketing background.
