Mike Stinton

| Mr. Stinton is the editor of Pub Links Golfer Magazine after assuming the post in 2003. Stinton had been a contributing writer for the magazine for a number of years before coming on board to write and edit the magazine. Stinton began his writing career in 1986 when he wrote for several publications in the Murdoch Magazine fold. He then entered the daily newspaper arena where he was a general news, business and travel writer for The Boston Herald. In 1989, Stinton was hired by ESPN as an assignment editor in charge of gathering news for the award winning news program SportsCenter. In addition to those daily duties, he was also the editor on the investigative news program Outside the Lines, where he received three Emmy Awards and one Cable Ace Award for Sports Journalism.
In 1995, Stinton moved to Orlando where he was one of the founding members of the group that launched the Golf Channel. As the networkÕs News Manager, Stinton was in charge of the nightly news program Golf Central, oversaw the on-air talent and tournaments they covered and was the coordinator of the live tournaments that aired on the network. He won a Cable Ace award for his work on Golf Central.
Stinton returned to ESPN in March of 2001 as a Coordinating Producer of SportsCenter and ESPNews. His everyday responsibilities include overseeing the production staff that works on each show and approving all news elements, video and scripts. Stinton, 42, is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University with a degree in Mass Communication. He is the father of two children ages 13 and 9. He currently resides in Southington, CT.
