The Preferred Golf Membership

The Club at Morgan Hill in Easton, Pa. has joined with three other daily fee courses in the area to form the Preferred Golf Membership program.
PGM is group of independent golf courses in the Lehigh Valley area that offers golfers the benefit of membership at all four facilities for one fee.
“We decided because of the economy and the large percentage of private club members either taking a year’s leave or leaving their clubs permanently, that there might be market for an affordable alternative in a membership program,” said David Karner, general manager at Morgan Hill. “We offer members the opportunity to schedule tee times 21 days in advance at one of the four high end daily fee or semi-private clubs as an alternative”.
This certainly comes as great news to the avid and recreational golfer during a time of economic uncertainty.
Other Pennsylvania courses involved in the PGM with Morgan Hill are the Center Valley Club in Center Valley, Olde Homestead Golf Club in New Tripoli, and Hideaway Hill Golf Club in Kresgeville.
The top level of Preferred Golf Membership costs only $2,495 and entitles the holder to unlimited unrestricted access to all four courses for the calendar year plus additional member benefits.
For $750 Preferred Golf Members can add a secondary member to their primary account if that person is a significant other.
Members can also add a junior to their primary account if they are living in the same household and are under the age of 18, or if they are enrolled in college and working on an undergraduate degree. The cost is $500 a year.
There are also weekday corporate memberships available for $9,995 that entitles a company to have up to 10 employees play unlimited golf Monday through Friday (non-holidays), and an unrestricted corporate membership for $19,995 that allows the same number of employees to play unlimited golf any day of the week.
Said Karner, “The program makes sense because it gives the golfer the ability to make tee times ahead of the public at either one of the four courses. It will also keep all four of the clubs in a competitive drive to be recognized by our members for service, course conditions, member enhancements and other amenities. That will have us continuously fine-tuning and improving our individual operations and special features.
