Delaware Valley Golf Card
Untitled Document

Some people in the golf industry talk about helping out the recreational golfer during these tough times. The Billy Casper Golf Company is actually doing something about the situation.
The company has introduced a Delaware Valley Golf Card that gives the holder a 10 percent discount on greens/cart fees, valid anytime, at six participating courses.
The facilities taking part in the program include Delcastle and Rock Manor in Delaware, Lederach and the three courses in the Billy Casper “Golf Philly” cache--John F. Byrne, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Cobbs Creek in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania--and McCullough’s Emerald Golf Links and Indian Spring in New Jersey.
In addition, the card, which costs $30 and is good for the calendar year, gives the holder the opportunity to take advantage of twilight rates an hour earlier than non-card holders, while still getting 10 percent off the twilight rates. Other specials and events will be scheduled for cardholders during the course of the year, said Jonathan Vassil, director of marketing for the company.
“It really is a regional loyalty card that is our response to the pinch everyone is feeling. The card offers discounts at some excellent courses.”
Another great aspect of the card is that it can be used seven days of the week, at any time, even weekend mornings.
“There are a lot of discount books and golf passes out there that can only be used at certain times,” said Vassil. “You can use this card as often as you like, any time of the week.” The card can be used multiple times at each course.
Plans are for the card to continue to be offered next season with holders asked only to pay a renewal fee.
“For $30, this is a great investment,” said Vassil, “especially if you play a lot of golf. But you can just about get your money back using it once or twice.”
