For years, Long Island golfers have traveled to Florida in search of a warm place to golf in the winter. This winter will be no exception. With hundreds of beautiful courses, Florida offers a can’t-lose proposition for the vacationing golfer. One of these amazing destinations is The Golf Club at Fiddler’s Creek in Naples.
Fiddler’s Creek is home to a beautiful golf course, and more are on the way. The Creek Course at Fiddler’s Creek stretches through pristine Gulfside terrain, creating many picturesque tee shots. The natural beauty of the course belies the treachery of the design, though. Golfers will need to carry water on the occasional approach shot, and traversing the rolling fairways is made more difficult by the placement of some truly crafty bunkers. Take some time out from reflecting on the magnificently-manicured fairways and greens to plan each hole, because this is a thinker’s course. This winding layout is just a preview of what the future holds for The Golf Club at Fiddler’s Creek, though, as the Michael Hurdzan-designed Preserve Course is well underway and set for a 2008 opening. By time the grand vision of Fiddler’s Creek is reached, the site will have five 18-hole courses, making it one of the most expansive facilities in the country.
As you can probably imagine by now, Fiddler’s Creek is aiming to be much more than just a vacation destination. This becomes readily apparent when the homesites at Fiddler’s Creek are seen for the first time. Fourteen different models can be had, each one more architecturally breathtaking than the last. The homes range from $700,000 to over $5 million. Many of the designs are reminiscent of classic European looks. This is reflected in the names of the homes, which include Sauvignon, Majorca, Chiasso, and the cream of the crop, Isla del Sol. Naples is an upscale city to begin with, and the addition of these breathtaking homes only adds to the area’s reputation.
Residents of Fiddler’s Creek are presented with a plethora of amenities. The Club and Spa at Fiddler’s Creek is the ideal place to break a sweat, unwind, or partake in a sumptuous meal.
