Arroyo Golf Club at Red Rock & Siena Golf Club - Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas is a bastion of great golf destinations. But with so many world-class courses to pick from, how does one narrow down the choices? Conditions and layout will always be key factors. Price undoubtedly comes into play; closely followed by that subjective category dubbed “overall value.” Fortunately for golfers who want it all there are two sister venues in Sin City that skillfully have the above factors covered– Arroyo Golf Club at Red Rock and Siena Golf Club.

The Arroyo Golf Club is an Arnold Palmer Signature Design that plays over 6,800 yards from the tips and to a par of 72. The course features Bermuda grass fairways and Bentgrass greens that are overseeded with Rye grass in the cooler winter months. The landscape of Arroyo Golf Club is a clever mix of arroyos, (or small ravines) towering mountain views, pristine homesites, palm trees, and of course the contradictory desert hazard-water. As an added amenity, the clubhouse is stunning and offers golfers an incredible view of Red Rock Canyon and the city below.

The finest holes on the property include the 396 yard par-4 8th and the 533 yard par-5 16th. Both incorporate thrilling vistas of the Red Rock Mountains, sculpted bunkers, and undulating greens. The par-4 18th is one of Arnie’s favorites–a risk/reward water-lined gem that fits his gunslinger personality to a tee.

The Siena Golf Club is a Schmidt-Curley design that features a purposeful mix of gentle doglegs and straightaway holes to invite a bevy of shot-making options. Again, expect to encounter all the common desert obstacles at Siena, including arroyos, railroad tie greens, palm trees, and ample water hazards. The course is also home of the Siena Bistro, a consistent Vegas award winner. Both courses are moderately priced and do offer discounts on golfers playing both venues within five days of each other.
