GOLF SELF HELP DIY KIT FOR UNDER $5.02
There are some great teaching aids on the market that allow you to feel the framework of the golf swing. But, before you drain your wallet on the next infomercial, look around your house for the following items that will fix your worse habits!

ANY  KIND OF RACQUET; problem - CLUBFACE THROWAWAY.
Goal = Clubface control, maintaining right wrist staying bent at and after impact. Imagine you have to hit a hanging ball with this racquet, from a golf stance, at a flag only a few feet away. Most people look like they’re fly swatting, paying no attention to what the clubface does through impact. Firm up the racquet face in the zone just before, at, and just after impact to feel that your right wrist needs to stay bent for clean contact. Your right hand is the key to clubface control.

HARD EYEGLASS CASE: problem - SWAYING ON BACKSWING.
Goal = becoming more centered over the ball and braced at start of downswing. Place case under the outside of slanted right foot. Make backswings and notice your braced back foot is ready to push as the first move of the downswing. This allows your body to be the engine of your golf swing rather than just your arms! Beware of rolling to the outside of your back foot!

CHOPSTICKS: problem - BREAKDOWN OF STRUCTURE AT AND AFTER IMPACT.
Goal = feeling hands ahead of club head with a leaning shaft, a vital condition for good impact.  Stick 1 chopstick into the top of a short iron. Hit small shots maintaining contact between the stick and your left arm past impact. Know that your full swing will have to pass through this same feeling.

STRAP FROM SMALL TRAVEL BAG: problem - ARMS DISCONNECT FROM CHEST, POWER LOSS.
Goal =upper muscle in left arm maintains connection with chest on back and down swing. Put strap around your chest and left arm. It should feel tight to give the feeling of that arm staying glued to your chest.  This sensation will create better rotation in each direction for more powerful hits. Try pitch shots, adding a turn through to finish and you’ll banish your “all arms” swing!

UPRIGHT BROOM: problem - BAD DRIVER TEMPO, HITTING OFF BACK FOOT.
Goal = finishing in balance, all weight on left. Brooms are heavy and have built in air resistance. Make full swings letting the broom touch the earth, swinging it through and behind you. You’ll need a count of “one - two” before you can start your downswing on 3. Swing your driver, no ball, to the same place utilizing the same pace and count.

PENNY: problem - CHIPS AROUND GREEN LINE DRIVE OVER THE UNIVERSE.
Goal = get ball airborne on small chips. Put penny just in front of ball. With your weight set up on your left and the ball in the back of your stance, look at the penny, not the ball.  Hit down with the intention of hitting the penny. You’ll hear a metallic sound after ball contact when you do it right! Repeat to get your 2 cents worth!
