Not Just Golf; TOUR Golf

Not Just Golf; TOUR Golf
Do you wish you could play in more tournaments? Would you like to play those tournaments on private courses in pristine conditions? Would you like to sample 50 different courses instead of the same two or three each year? Would you like to make more golfing friends? Then look into The TOUR of Greater Boston.

Tour members say, “It’s not just golf; it’s Tour golf.”
The difference is access to the best public and private courses in Eastern New England, with two events every week. The Tour plays at courses such as Marlboro CC, Yale GC, Woods Hole, The Ranch, Connecticut National, Wannamoisett, Lake Winnipesaukee, Blackstone National, Waverly Oaks, Myopia Hunt Club, and so many more.

The TOUR Difference.
The difference is the tournament atmosphere. Founder John DiCocco says, “Even though all the members are amateurs, we try to present a professional tournament atmosphere, with banners on the tee and clubhouse, USGA rules, USGA handicaps, good sportsmanship, a strict pace-of-play policy, professional scoring, and prizes.”

The difference is the people you meet. One of the managing Partners, Mark Stinehour, says, “Members tell us they join the Tour because of the outstanding schedule. But they come back year-after-year because of the friendships they make and the great experiences they have in Tour events.” Whether you’re a competitive golfer or a relaxed person who loves seeing new courses, The TOUR has a place for you.

The difference is variety. Long-time Member Gail Regan says “You get to play different formats: stroke play, stableford, quota, team events, and match play, too. There are always prizes and you can earn points toward player-of-the-year honors.” There’s a club championship, other “majors,” and even matches against other clubs. Plus a trip to Orlando for a 3-day event against Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Atlanta clubs.

All Abilities Welcome.
The Club welcomes men and women, and any player who can usually score between 65 and 105. (The average handicap is about 13.) Tournaments usually range between 40 and 80 players, and there’s usually one every weekend and one every week as well. You just pick the events you want.

It doesn’t matter where you live because your whole Tour experience, except the actual golf, is handled online. Signup, see your teetime and pairing, pay for events, check your account, even share your thoughts or sell a driver on our very active Member Bulletin Board.
