El Dorado Ranch in Baja

Introducing San Felipe’s First 18 Hole Championship Golf Course

Smart, savvy real estate buyers who have shopped around, have already discovered that Baja offers some of the best values around for an increasing number of California families seeking a fun and affordable beach lifestyle.

Miles of white sandy beaches, warm seawater, uninterrupted water views, an array of amenities and 330 days of sunshine a year are just a few of the reasons why El Dorado Ranch is Baja’s largest and fastest selling subdivision.

The El Dorado seaside golf community, La Ventana Del Mar, consists of 757 residential homesites, a 240- room resort hotel and spa and 300 luxury condominiums. All of the properties in this gated community with 24-hour security will have underground utilities (water, sewer, power, telephone and internet).

The 18-hole championship PGA-regulation length golf course is designed by Bradford Benz of San Jose, who has been a golf course architect for more than 30 years and has designed more than 150 golf courses and received numerous awards. The golf course is called “Las Caras de Mexico” (The Faces of Mexico) and will be the focus of El Dorado Ranch’s new community, La Ventana Del Mar.

El Dorardo Ranch/LaVentana Del Mar developer, Pat Butler, states, “Our goal is to produce an affordable, high quality golf experience in this ecological reserve zone to show that responsible resort development can be achieved in a unique environmental setting.” Amazingly, he has even found a salt-tolerant grass for the golf course to avoid depleting the area’s water supply.

Located near San Felipe, just one and one-half hours South of the California border, El Dorado Ranch has been created for Californians who find pleasure in a variety of water sports and outdoor activities, and appreciate the benefits of owning safe, secure, surveyed real estate in an established masterplanned community.
El Dorado Ranch amenities—geared to fun with a casual lifestyle in mind—include a beach club, heated pool and spa, sundecks, hammock village, tennis courts, easy beach access, a palapa bar, restaurant, & cantina, gated entry, and a 18-hole golf course (under construction).

Owners have access to palm shaded beaches and the Sea of Cortez for fishing, boating, and water sports. Beautiful trails wind through vibrant desert leading to mountains, canyons, and waterfalls.

Take Advantage of Little Known Legislation
At El Dorado Ranch buyers can take advantage of legislation that allows Americans to own real estate in Baja. (Not a timeshare) The properties are perfect for custom construction, vacation homes, retirement living. Also ideal for “green construction” including straw bale, and solar.  Immediate building is not required. Developer financing, low down payments, home plans, architectural and builder services are available.

Rob Rios, Executive Vice-President of R-Mac Properties, said at a recent El Dorado Ranch informational seminar, “Come on down and take a look and you might be surprised how many of your neighbors are here.”  A recent article in Time Magazine states, ‘Forget Miami.  Gringos are retiring in Mexico because it is sunny, sandy, and cheap.’  San Felipe’s motto, ‘No Bad Days,’ is the reason El Dorado Ranch has become a magnet for Americans looking to vacation or retire.”
